Performance chips???
 
hey guys i need some advice on performance chips for my 1988 n/a with intake, catback, header, act clutch flywheel, a few other mods here and there and i'm looking for one more way to improve an already badass ride (who isnt). i found a few options from surge

Forget Ebay cheap crap. It does NOT work.

And get this...there are NO "chips" made for the MKIII.

Read through the FAQs section for HP gain methods, written by people that already been through what you are asking.

Like already said There is no "performance chips" but your best investment would be to get a 7mgte

i was curious about this myself a while back so i went to a speed shop and asked them about it. they said they could put a chip in, calibrate it, and dynoed for $450. i don't know if it was an actual chip or what but i didn't care because i was just curious.

P.S. - that shop never worked on a supra before

There is a place, I read in another thread about a place in New York that you can send your ECM and they will program a new operating profile.

BUT....you must be very into actual racing, because they want to know the HPs you are running, and where you want your power band to be. What type of fuel management system you are using, etc. etc.

In other words, no simple chip swap, like some other cars.
