After market BOV

well a while ago i put on a apexi bov but i left the stock Pressure relief Valve in but took one hose off and put it on the new BOV. IS it okay to leave the Stock one in? or should i put a tube in there and eliminate the stock one? thanks in advance for any help thanks!

As long as it's not leaking I don't see any reason why you would have problems with it. I'd be inclined to remove it though... it's just one more thing that could go out.

my philosophy is if your not using it then take it out. i mean people make fun of me all the time for this but hey it works, you might think taking it out dont make a difference but when you find tons of things that you dont need and weigh 30 pounds each it make a great increase in your start off. i gutted everything out of my car im gonna put in racing seats and harnesses, because the driver seat alone weighs like 120 pounds i dont really know how much but every pound counts when you race it.

120lbs? that the biggest over exageration i ever heard, its more like 60-70, maybe a little more, either way its a back breaker, but its so comfortable

I left mine in with no negative effects. I know if you take it out and put the new BOV on the car might stall.

100 lbs is equal to about 1/10 of a second.

if i was to take it wouldnt it let air flow when it shouldnt be flowin?

tsupra89 09-07-2007 02:26 AM

i dont care what ya say that seat is heaaaavay, and akward but you can get a good seat thats alot lighter thats still really comfortable.

oowee623 09-07-2007 02:36 AM

i know that its heavy and im lookin into getting a bride seat if i could ever afford one, reason why its so heavy is because supras are luxury gt cars which is stable at high speeds due to the weight and the seat is a luxurious 8 way adjustable with a bunch of motors which explains all that weight. sorry i turned this bov thread into a weight issue

all its all good dude one subject might turn into 10000000 subjects but there all about supras. so its all good in my book

IMO my drivers seat is heavy but for just one tenth of a second in the quarter mile I wouldnt take it out I preffer to drive comfortable.
