Question on brakes
I have a few questions on these Supra disk brakes. I have never done the rears on this type of car before. On my old Honda you would have to screw the rear pistons back in instead of pushing them in. How is it done on the Supra? Screw in or push in? Also, I went to do the front today and noticed that besides the fact that AutoZone gave me the wrong pads, once you pull the calipers mounting bolt, the caliper wont swing all the way up because the brake line is too short. I guess I will have to take the entire mount off to switch out the pads. Is this right?

Ok, I think I understand what your asking about the rear calliper, they are the same as the front so I guess it would be a push in, but I might not understand what your asking.
On the front brakes, you are right, the calliper will not go all the way up, follow the brake line, on the other side there is a bracket, and two bolts holding it on just unscrew the bolts, 12mm I think, and you will be able to move the calliper out of the way, and for ease use a couple of zip-ties to secure the calliper up, it's a lot quicker that way. exactly what he said.. push in on the rears just like the fronts.. and when i did mine i actually took the two bolts holding the brake line bracket on. that did the trick. then you would like he said get something to hold it up while you do the replacing of pads.

One more question on these brakes. Do you need a puller to get the rear rotors off? I’m tying to remove my rotors and rear axel shafts from my parts car and it looks as if a puller is needed.

Na, just use a rubber mallot, lightly tap around the rotor untill it losens, when I did my brakes I had to hit them a little to get them off.

Make sure the parking brake is off. It is actually a 'shoe' inside the rotor.

Oh wow. That explains a ton. I wasn’t sure about the parking brake but now it all makes sense. I also had a real hard time just getting the rim off. It was rusted to the face of the rotor. Thanks for the info guys!
