Yup supraman's got it much cheaper to put the 1jz in because it was made for the mark 3 supra. Lots of mods you have to make to the 2jz to make it fit and also a 1jz is cheaper to buy than a 2jz so it is all around a better deal. Plus the 1jz makes your car mad fast I love mine.

The 1JZ puts out 280 at the flywheel and about anywhere from 250 to 260 at the wheels. With the few things I have done to my car I am getting 270 at the wheels on 11 psi. The factory psi is 10 but I am afraid to turn it up because I havent got a wideband yet and you never know what might happen. Also I am planning on getting a Greddy e-manage ultimate then its on I know the factory turbos will push up to 14 to 15 But who wants to keep the factory anything. I am going to get the 935 motorsports twin turbo manifolds and put two gt28's on it when I am done looking for around 650 to 700 but still got other things to get.

it can but everyone is right..its expensive..im doing it right now to my 90 supra and so far ive spent close to 15,000. To do it right you need the 2JZ, 6-speed tranny, ecu, wiring harness, motor mounts, water pump, and much more..If you dont have some money to spare or arent working full time, dont even think about it
