Possible supra owner questions!
 

Hey I may be buying a supra here in a few days. A local here is selling a 1988 Supra Turbo five speed with around 130k miles, targa top with a bad oil pump. So he says. Im gonna need to get the thing towed and the car is not at his house but at his friends. He does have the title and its legit as far as I can tell. But My question is, is this a common problem on Supras? The Oil Pump just magically going bad? He was cruising and the engine just lost oil pressure, Im thinking main bearings possible. But everything else is good on the car and theres no rust, he only wants 600$ for the thing. Should I buy?

$600 sounds like a good price, it probably has a blown head gasket which is a common problem with mk3's. Read the stickys.

and even with a BHG $600 is a good price.. assuming the rest of the car is in alright condition
