Codes 25,26,51!

i was hooking up my air/fuel ratio guage and everything was fine until next morning on my way home from work the engine light came on and i did the diagnostic and it gave me codes 25 26 and 51. 25 &26 are lean and rich and 51 said something about a/c so i was wondering how to get rid of these codes.
i didn't do anything except for putting a wire in the o2 sensor clip to make the guage read thats all i did to the engine so i don't know why i'm throwing codes. the guage says i'm running rich. the car runs fine same power and everything i don't know if its running a little hotter or not cuz it says it's fine on my temp guage so if anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it thanks.

The o2 sensor isnt gonna make you run hot unless you are running really lean. Then you would see the manifold glowing but if you had that I am sure you would have said so. The only thing I see that comes to mind is there isnt enough of a signal getting to the computer to give it the proper signal so it is freaking out. I know there is a bunch of people that use different o2 sensors because of they are better for widebands but to that effect I am not sure.

Did you push on the gas pedal or have the A/C on while you were pulling codes? Either one would trigger a 51.

no i figured that came on cuz i don't have the a/c hooked up. the compressor is still there i just don't have a belt or anything on it and also i think the lines are cut on it. i wasn't worried about that one cuz it never caused the light to come on before.

ok i found that a wire ripped out of the o2 sensor plug so i splice another plug on it from a cut harness i had laying around the wires are spliced to the right ones but still the check engine light is on. does anyone know why its still on?

Pull the EFI fuse to reset the CEL.
For code 25 and 26 I would think you need the O2 sensor working for the feedback that its actually running lean and rich. I wrote a small article about 25 and 26 over a year ago how it happened on my car and the fix for me.

ok well i just disconnected my battery last night and this morning i re-connected it before i went to work and it didn't come on going to work but once again it came on when i was coming home. the plug is spliced on and its still coming on i did the diagnostic again just to see and same codes. is my O2 sensor bad and need to be replaced or what.

f00g00 do you remember the post name cuz i'm interested in reading
it or do you remember what you did?

Can we see a pic of your wiring??? youd be surprised.

Yes i remember here is the link

The job took a couple of hours and I cleaned the injectors by energizing them and shooting carb cleaner through them till they showed a good pattern.

ok so i pulled the fuse and reset it but it came back on after a little while. so are you saying that the O2 sensor is ok because its reading codes 25 26? i'll take a pic of my wiring and the O2 sensor later when the engine is cooled down. the car is running strong and not sputtering or anything so foogoo do you still think it would be the o rings on the injectors?
