I know this has been asked but I tried to search and just find to use the mhg. I dont have money to resurface my block, just my head. DO I need too? Im getting ARP head bolts, will i be ok with just an ebay head set, if I torque the bolts down. To What? Im just going to be running higher boost, nothing big until after college.

Anyone? I need to get this fixed.

if the block surface is in good condtion then you dont have to get it resurfced. get arp head studs. i think you torque them to like 75-80 ft/lbs

If you like to keep blowing your headgasket do what he said.

To use a MHG you need to have an ABSOLUTELY PERFECT block and head. If theres the smallest imperfection, it will blow. You need to have the head machined and the block machined and lapped. Just go with a stock headgasket. I've been running 10 psi since april on the stock headgasket. No problems what-so-ever.

Thanks ive already ordered the stock replacement. So 75-80 lbs would be good on those arp studs?

I really do not know why, thats how I bought it, dont worry though it wont be like that long, just have to get the hg changed first.
