i am trying to add my 2 12lves into the "trunk of my 87 supra. I was thinking about aking out the spare tire and the cover thing that goes over it. I still want to use the pull cover thing that hides what is in the back. I am also worried that the bass will blow out the back glass, any suggestions?

the back glass is fine. very sturdy construction. 2 12's is alot but if thats how you roll then go for it. i wouldnt take out the other things cause you never know when you need a spare tire you know what i mean. and if you were taking that and the wood out for rattling purposes i wouldnt worry about it, they are also in there pretty good. and make for a nice looking back end. but if you are making custom box and things it may be a good idea. either way let us now what you did, maybe some pics. good luck

If you don't need that much bass I'd just put one of the 12's in the car and spare the car the additional weight.

i had 2 12's back there in a wedge box that put the woofers right on the glass; full bass rattled the car, and the glass survived. personally they were too big, im gonna get like a single 10" kicker prolly

I had a bandpass with 2 10's for about a year till I got tired of no room in the back and the bandpass wasn't too musical so I tried a 10" Solo Baric in a sealed enclosure and ended up finally with a kicker 8" tube that sounds good enough for the time being.
You might want to look into the new shallow mount designed subs that a few companies are coming out with, more bass in a smaller package might be the ticket for our hatches.
I really think 12's would over power you since there isn't a trunk to buffer the low resonance, unless your deaf you won't enjoy it for too long.

2 12"s would fit fine in the back without talking anything out. Go with a sealed box and and 2 good SQ subs and you should be fine. Im running a ported 15" sub.
