AC delete. Light weight fly wheel.
Take gas cans and run a low tank.

Removing the interior isn't going to do anything significant for you since it's all foam and fiber. The only interior component that can save weight is the drivers seat because it has like 6 motors in it. If you advance your timing +15 degrees you can get a little more torque for the loss of horsepower. Practice your launches ,get off the line with as many RPM as you can without spinning the rear tires. If you cant get your AC compressor off in time ,at least make sure the belt isn't on. Like the other fellers said ,take out the spare and run a low tank to save weight. Make sure you're generaly in tune. Clean filters ,good plugs and wires.

Down the road carbon fiber body panels would do you good since ours are pretty weighty ,but you'd be happier in the long run to invest that money into a turbo motor. Not a whole lot you can do in a few days without deep pockets. Best of luck at your event ,make sure you let us know how you did. From the few track slips I have seen the N/A mkiii seems to turn in high times ,but I think a good driver with a well preped car could turn mid to high 14's

Yeah this doesnt happen very often in our town, this is only my second time on the drag and I'm just really trying to have fun with it. I will keep everyone informed on how it goes.

I pulled my back seat out.

It weighed nothing. But it compensated for the added weight of the rear strut tower rod. I'll trade weight for weight on a plausible upgrade.

The thing with the strut tower rods is that they are only supposed to reduce the body sway. Not delete it. I'll be mounting my front strut rod after I have the new shocks and springs installed. The tems components are a bit in the way.

I will probably dremel slots in the base of the strut rod to compensate.
Sorry for changing the subject.
