Door Panels

Anybody every use one of these? I need to remove my door panels but I don’t want to break the clips.

Good news then. They dont have clips. They are just held on by a bunch of screws. Once the screws are out, pull out on the bottom a little bit and lift up and it'll come off. After taking off the window switch connectors. Now that I think of it, there are a couple of clips, but they are metal and they are on the speaker cover. You can pull that off without worry and there are 2 screws hiding back there to be able to take the handle off to get to the window switches.

i took mine off recently and it had i think three plastic clips per door panel, maybe 2... either way one did break but the others stuck it through, theres a way you can manuever it to come out without breaking but i was getting annoyed and kinda just pulled. but once the first is off you'll see where there at and can prevent any further damage if any at all, good luck

I don't remember any plastic clips. Then again I haven't taken them off in about a year. Where are they?

Mine are like what dcrusupra said, undo bolts and lift up. No clips. The only clips on mine are for the door lock trim piece and the speaker cover. But I have used one of those tools before back when I took the door panel off on my 92 Jetta. It helps for hard to reach clips, but if you're careful and take your time you shouldn't break anything.

From the factory there are a few plastic clips. I recently replaced the couple that were missing from each of my door panels. They're located on the sides, not the top or bottom.
