does a 82-85 celica tranny fit my mk3

i found a 5 speed from a 82-85 celica, chassis code RA64, will this fit my 7MGE with a 7M W58 bellhousing?

aside from the bellhousing is there any other differences between the w58 from an 82-85 celica and the mk3 supra?

lol besides the fact that the trannys are completely different? naaa naa nothing at all. Tranverse transmissions wont in any way shape or form work in any longitudilaly mounted set-up. It doesnt matter is if jesus built the belhousing, still no go.

uh i didnt get it of a FWD celica, its RWD. i do know the difference between the two, correct me if im wrong but my resources say that the 82-85 celica did come with a W58. im not stupid enough to get a tranny of a FWD if i did i might as well got it off a honda

If i had the money i would throw a 1jz in there lol that would be crazy great,
and you might be able to use the trans of a 1985 supracelica the cars that year were very similar hence the name supracelica. Im not an expert but toyota wouldnt make 2 trannies with the same name if they werent the same.
Could always call toyota and try to find out but that might be a waste of time.
