You would be better off. Buying a new block from toyota and building it from the ground up and building it right, than trying to un-fubar some ones pos thrashed engine.

You really have no idea of what you are buying from e bay. Find a reputable dealer or a salvage yard anything other than an e bay engine.

Just buy a .45 and blow your brains out now and leave your wife the cheese.
Find a cressida engine and go that route.

You're buying someones old pita if you buy from e bay.
Check out: www.jasperengines.com

I hope this helps. Spend your money wisely, and do your research to the MAX, 1st.

Someone in this forum actually has a jasper engine. when my na goes out. I may go gte.

I've heard of osaka but I've never dealt with them. They have good prices though.

You are even better off rebuilding what you have right now. Unless you blew a hole in your block or severely warped your head or block surface, it is the best choice.

Every 7M has the head gasket problem no matter where in the world it was made, Japan, europe, new zealand, they all have the shitty 58 ft/lbs head bolt torque that fails.

So go ahead and buy a JDM 7M or one from Ebay. Just be prepared to overhaul it because there is no such thing as a mint stock 7M, they don't exsist.

Everyone thinks they can just buy another used 7M and bolt it in, which is not the case. When mine finally goes, I will be building the shit out of it with all forged internals. I won't be looking for a JDM or an Ebay motor.

I'll admit it. I have surfed osaka. But only back when I didn't know better.

You just look at there crap and know that it's cheap for all the wrong reasons.
Jdm alone leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I have a jasper engine. Love it. And the warrenty makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Even if you do blow it, they dont even check the engine to see if it was operator error. They will send you a new engine no questions asked and all they want in return is the core. On top of that your 3yr 75k mile warrenty is renewed. . The rep. said if i didnt call them to give them the core, they would just charge me 500$ for the core.

Well, I'd have to disagree (for now anyway)... I haven't gotten everything running smoothly yet (my error in connecting vacuum lines, now have a vacuum leak causing some mild revving and stalling), so it's still possible to have problems, but I bought a JDM engine off of eBay. When I finally got it started, the engine itself sounded great. No knocking or anything else, tt just purred.... So I'm kinda stoked about it. The engine cost me $450 bucks, and I picked it up from the warehouse in LA, so I didn't have to ship anything. Also haven't found any fluid leaks from the engine. Only downside is you have to install all of your emissions components and engine accesories (i.e. alternator, power steering pump, water pump, distributor, etc.), so it can be a headache.

I had bought a JDM turbo motor from ebaymotors and I had paid $990 for it shipped and I did and did not like the motor. They said that they do a compression and leak down test but I think that was BS.

The good about my motor-everything looked new, cylinder head had pretty much no wear, you can tell that it had very low miles, sensors was in good condition.

The bad about my motor- motor had a BHG, pitting around the coolant passages and I had to switch some sensors, install the EGR and stuff, switch the throttle body's

but over all I did part out my old turbo motor and I made all of my money back+ some more and now im in the process of rebuilding my JDM motor.
