Honestly I never heard that question b4
Idk if you're gonna get exactly the same sound since they are diffrent engines
You might get something similar

And lucky you,
You posted this in this forum
If you did this at supramania or supraforums, you would be flamed so bad by now

But for future refs, (in my opinion)
You shouldn't be looking for exhaust sound unless you're trying to quiet it down,
Look for something with power gains
Plus I don't think how the supra sounded in the movies was the actual sound anyways
From real life (as in standing next to it)
Since I believe the exhaust sound could be a little distorted since it was in a movie and there was more than one sound going on when you were watching it
And with that said
A full 3" inch exhaust with a 4",
Maybe a 4 1/2" inch muffler
Isn't the best route for your na

The best you can do is a 2.5" inch exhaust piping and muffler, a high flow cat will be nice too
Since you need the back pressure for your car anything bigger and you lose bottom end power with your car

I thought about flaming him yesterday and discretion got the better of me.

No way to sound like the mkIV you desire unless you have a 2jzgte under your hood. The best you can do is get the same brand of exhaust they had and maybe go 3 inch from the header. That's about as close as you can get.

These are just my opinions and there is a reason they are free.

I have a HKS super dragger on my 87 and now that I got my 1JZ to put into it it will be put to good use. But as for sound the super dragger yes is expensive at 650 with shipping but sounds pretty close to the one in The Fast and the Furious but if you want to get there you have to take the cat out and put in a test pipe makes a lot of difference. As for the supra in the fast and the furious it was a N/A the car in the movie had no turbos read sport compact car they drove the car when the first movie came out.

I dunt think even with the same exhaust
it still won't sound the same
Not unless u have the time to mess around with difrent set-ups,
Which inludes you ordering and then sending out exhaust systems multiple times
And even if, if you're wiling to do that
You need a real mkiv beside you
Cuz if the movie is the reference that you got

You will end up with a car that sounds like the supra IN the movie
Not the supra FROM the movie

supradaddy: punctuation is your friend, its hard to read with all the run on.

Doesn't matter what exhaust you put it. Most of them sound good. Just don't go cheap.

I'm just saying that is his best shot at getting where he wants to be. Is all.

Never will he sound the same without an engine swap. So tune your exhaust and be happy with the throat she gives you.

On an N/A 3" is too much, 2.5" is good for N/A. "Back pressure"
