driving along in my supra today when i went to give it a bit of shoe it started to die and wouldnt go past 2500rpm its backfiring and putting out puffs off black smoke any ideas wats wrong

One of your hoses came off somewhere between your throttle body and the MAF. Is it a turbo or NA? Black smoke and bad running means its getting more fuel than it needs, if its a turbo thats normal when the hoses fall off the IC, or break. NA, you have a slightly different problem. And Im quitting this forum if I cant find a way to get rid of that dam supra assistant at the bottom of every post now
