Thanks for the reply I will drain the oil to see if I see anything abnormal. Do you have any idea what could be causing the ticking? Ishino brand is stock for gaskets right? |

Your valve clearances need to be adjusted. There are shims inbetween the cam lobes and valve lifters which need to be at a specific size. It's not a hard job, just very time consuming and there is alot of math involved. Plus you need special tools to remove and install the shims. Not a job for an amateur. |

Thanks Hacks! Looked at the manual and I know what you mean lots of tables to look up and some simple math iterations. Very cumbersome. What about stock head gaskets? Where can I buy them and not spend and arm and a leg? I found the ARP bolts for $100.
