I've heard that over a period of time they start to disintigrate(sp?), and all that spongy stuff starts going into your intake manifold. But im not sure.

BTW I also had the bumber on my camaro cracked, and I was able to get it fixed. So you should be able to get the cracks on your bumber fixed.

sweet. i just called toyota, and the tail lamp kit was $192, so i could probably find it for cheaper elsewhere. now i have to find a performance exhaust from someplace...3 inch preferably...both cats and a muffler. basically every pipe, from the pipe coming down from the engine straight back to (and including) the muffler.

edit: to aid in my search, what would all those parts be called?

the asking price in the paper was 3300. since then, he has said hed fix the exhaust for sure and would cut down the price because of the tail light problem.

mom suggested offering a grand, going up to 1500. dad said start at 1500, which im probably gonna do, a grand is silly. between 1500 and 2000 is probably a good spot, because of those first two reasons and the numerous other little things wrong with it. *crosses fingers*

thas what i said haha. well, i called him, and thats where i started...he sounded REALLY surprised, and promptly refused....so i bumped it up to 1800, because of how shocked he was, he said he wouldnt sell it for under 2700...which i responded to just as shockingly lol. i mentioned something about all the damage, we kind of threw out a few more prices, and he said to call him tomorrow while he thinks about it and talks to his mom.

i dont think ill go higher than 2250. 2300 tops. i cant be spending all this money i dont have on repairs for a car that shouldve been fine when i bought it.
