1st thing) head to your local muffler shop and get them to bend you a custom exhaust from a piece of pipe(2.5" is fine)....this is what i did and i got the exhaust from the turbo elbow(including a muffler, but no cats, of course) for $320 canadian.
if you're not planning on putting a huge turbo on and running 25 pounds of boost you really dont need a $1500 3" mandrel bend whatever. Look under the car and see what you have for an exhaust 2nd) put some washers in your wastegate thats a $2 investment for 25+hp (aim for about 9-10 pounds boost) 3rd) i guess this should be first...but make sure you have nice spark plugs, oil change, etc and you still have $500 bucks left for gas i suppose |
