Hi
The rattle has been pin-pointed to the rear of the engine, does anyone know what this can be? is it related to valves being a little noisy? Cheers Rosco |
hey, it seems like to me that, you might have rod bearing knock :o . i hade the same problem with my supra. and the thing with starting problem my supra does the same thing, you can hold key to the on position wait 5 second then it will crank. i dont think its a bad connection, my friend 92 does it also. i hope i helped. also check your engine grounds, if the engine grounds are loose it can also cause the engine to rattle or shake the car as if it had a cam. :)

it could be a rod knock, or the lifters in the rear cylinders

if it's a deepish hollow sounding knock and it's under load.. you most likely have rod knock... the car has been run low on oil at some stage or someone has thrashed it while cold
good luck with the build if you need anything let us know ;) |
