91 MKIII JDM Supra PICS!

I got a 91 supra twin turbo R from japan... Yes, RHD. I had a manditory safety inspection today and failed. which means i cant plate my vehicle until i do. The first thing is that the rims i have on there now are 17" BBS rims.. i dunno the model, but they have a odd tire size, 255 40 r17 on the back and 255 45 r17 on the front. I thought i'd be able to just get tires for them seeing that they failed the inspection.. but was i ever wrong.. Secondly, will i be able to use usdm ball joints on a jdm supra?

These two things are what i need to pass the inspection. If you have any suggestions please let me know as i only have 1 month to repair them before being recharged the 85 $. Thanks for your time.

dont hold me to it but i do believe the u.s. and canadian spec rims will work, dont know why they wouldnt, and the same for the ball joints

post some pictures dude.....I'm very curious..lol

I Could email them if you really wanted.. i dont have em uploaded newhere yet.. but will shortly. In the meantime.. does neone know if the rims will match up? i solved the ball joint problem.

Cars are identical minus the electronics, engine and Steering setup. Find some sawblades.

man..thats awesome. although when i looked at the pic of the dash i got thrown off cus everything is backwards. i would love me a RHD tho.

i wish my supra was setup like that lol driver on the right and all... dont like the rims too much tho red outline eww lol but all in all nice car nice price but then again you cant really beat what i spent for mine lokl 700bucks running lol

Yeah... the rims would be better without the red, bet nevertheless they are BBS.... i could prob sell them and buy another car ahha.. Future mods.... sky is the limit, although i need a good BOV, mine isnt working at all... what ya reccommend? Im pretty sure this is the problem cause when i floor it, it doesnt go, it hesitates, becomes jerky.. Ppl tell me its the BOV not holding back the boost properly so im getting inconsistant boost.

boost leak is possible... have you done a diagnostics yet?

No, cant say i have. It wouldn't be bad turbo's tho would it :S . its only got 112k. i dont think it'd be toast that quick

what does the boost gauge read when you floor it and it becomes all jumpy?

well the boost guage is measured in mmHg. I have no idea what that means. For some reason in 1st it doesnt move at all. In second it goes to about 2 mmHG or w/e. But its still really jerky. It wont be jerky in 1st gear tho which is strange. I can hear it spooling up and i also can hear the BOV when i release the gas, although it is very faint.

To confirm this, the ball joints do match up.
