Does the car take forever to get that warm or does it go upsteadily and stay at the C? Id say replace your thermostat. Its stuck open. Toyota thermostats are good for that, and there like $3 and very easy to change. And as for oil pressure, good chance on shot gauge but also good chance of a clogged oil filter or passages. Get an oil and filter change. And btw, what kinda ofna RCs do you own? I had a pirate monster and a dominator. lol.

I should change the oil considering that i bought the car and still havn't changed the oil. Who knows when the oil was changed. What do you guys recommend for oil? I'm not really into rc anymore. Ive had tons of cars. They occupied my life for like 5 years. Now that i think of it, man i went through a lot of them. First I saved up and bought a t-maxx. My young age made me a total retard at tunning. Then i got an e-maxx. After that was the rs4-mt. Then a xxx-nt, then a savage, then last but not least a 9.5 mbx. I sold all of the rest but still have the 9.5. Just needs new 3 shoe flywheel and clutch shoes. |

Those guages are NOT right. Your oil pressure should never go that high and MKIII's never run cold for very long. Better figure it out before it's too late.
Both needles should be about in the middle after 10 or 15 minutes of driving...I don't care how cold it is outside. |

the best way to find out is to check or feel how hot the heater core hoses get or the radiator hose. better yet, does your heater heat up pretty good? if it doesn't its your thermostat....if the hoses and heater hoses and heater air do get very hot after a while, the gauge is bad.

Well there is also the chance that the sending units are both bad. You can short them both out for a few seconds if you have someone watching the guages and see if they move the full range or not. If not then it is the guage, if they do move all the way then it is probably the sending units, or the wires connected to them.
Let us know. Russ |
