I'M AN IDIOT! Help... (1988 7mGTE).
 

I installed a rebuilt head WITHOUT the blocker plate installed on the back of the head (the one with 8 bolts, I'd guess an oil passage system from cam-to-cam). Almost everything was back in– is there a clever way of getting it back on without backing up completely and pulling the head off the block? I'd guess the guys helping me get this car back on the road are having a good laugh right now. Thanks in advance. Rick

Its the Egr cooler. You can put it on without pulling the engine but it won't be fun. Don't forget the gasket.

thats true.. if the egr valv. cooler.. you dont have to pull out the motor... you can work in a way to get it on or off...

It's on. The neighborhood supra experts got it on while I was working. Owning a Supra is like joining a big happy family.

I wish i had some neighborhood supra guys...No one around here knows crap!

for real. around here its everyone for their own. you can get friends to help but they dont know jack about the car

yeah there is not one other supra in this town or any towns close by so i have to resort to this forum.

there is a good amount of them around here. but they all seem to be owned by old people that are tryng to be young. also makes for finding part at the junk yard hard :( there is only 1 junk yard in the whole phone book with one and its stripped :(

its not that bad, i know at least 5 pple that have supras here in chicago
and its funny if u ever meet sumbody driving an mk3 in a parking lot
you will talk to him like u known him for years
