Nos

some guy was talking to me into putting a 75 shot of nos in my car
of course i said "HELL NO"

but
i jus wanna see where everybody is when it comes to NOS
are you for it ,or against it, and state your reason

SupraSaver87 09-01-2006 06:39 PM

For it!

I firmly believe that if your system is set up correctly that you can have a long life, and have alot of power....

...But the main thing that ppl do is that they are using those dry fogger plates, even the wet systems...sometimes are not all that great.

I will go with a direct port system if I ever decide that I have the need for push button speed. Direct port is SAFE, reliable, but EXPENSIVE!

Well that is my take on it, and remember....if you want poor mans nitrous in your little civic, or some other car that really doesn't matter....then run your car a little extra rich, and pipe butane into your intake. Butane burns pretty clean, much more that gas does, but it is REALLY dry, and REALLY hot, so that is why you use some extra fuel to keep from detonating....but if its in a ford of any sort.....SCREW THE EXTRA FUEL!!! BLOW THE DAMN THING UP!....lol (Not trying to hurt any ford lovers here...I just personally don't like them!)

i belive in all engine power! along with turbo's/superchargers... but something that isnt there all the time when you need it.. i just think its kind of stupid.. id rather have all the power at my foot, not by pushing a button for temporary power :) and besides, its hard on your engine.. some guy around here messed up his celica real bad because he use's a 50hp shot of noss of the line and neutral drops his car... can you say dumb ? :whateva:

Supra2NR 09-02-2006 03:07 AM

hold up,, he used nos then put in neutral???

cant blame nos on that one

but is it true , the stock internals on the supra can handle a 75 shot?

Isphius 09-02-2006 05:32 AM

Yes, I would say the supra can handle a 75 shot. As long as you can get the fuel in. Leaning out a motor will fry lots of things. And the nos shouldnt be on untill WOT, If its installed right. But nuetral dropping anything is just a bad idea....

newbsupra 09-02-2006 05:52 AM

he would rev it up, neutral drop it, then hit the shot right after he started to move

It's nitrous.
NOS is a brand, marketed by Holley.

the chemical formula for nitrous is N2O (Nitrous Oxide)

NO2 is Nitrogen Dioxide (the gas that pollutes the air and kills you)

Yes Nitrous is used both in cars and with dentists as laughing gas. I just had some nitrous when i got my wisdoms pulled.
