If you dont need to drive the car right away....Pull the motor, And have the crank and rods checked out by a shop or get a digital micrometer and a repair manual and do it yourself. If its rebuildable (not driven long with the knock) Get a rebuild Kit. They have em for under 1000 with pistons, bearings, gasket set, oil pump and timing belt. Then you should take the head to get a valve job done and the seals replaced. Which i think i got a quote for 250 on. So for about ~~~1100$ you have a brand new engine, internally. And if your goin that far, Get a metal head gasket and ARP head studs and have the block and head machined perfectly flat. Then youll have a serious motor.

Plus youll most likely need to have the crank turned because it almost definatley has a spun bearing. Most machine shops can do this pretty cheap
