Ummm...dont use shoe polish or you will forever be ruining the shoulder portion of what your shirts.
seat belts are made of nylon so therefore wont dye using traditional fabric dye. your best for changing the color of your belts besides getting new ones, will be to paint them using fabric paint. you can find this in the auto parts houses for upholstery. Just stretch the belts out completely paint both sides, let dry and reinstall. Ive used that "paint" before and it doesnt last forever especially on something that gets so much use. but barring finding a black set its your best option.
