I need help on the computer and your info on the throttle cable!
 

Hi, I have a 89 n/a auto, and I just bought an 7mgte from ebay, it came with maf, comp., and a 5 spd tranny. Does any one know where th computer is located? and also the throttle cable seems like it is in the worng spot, but there is another cable, is this other cable possibly the cable used for the turbo motor, why would toyota istall a cable for n/a and turbo motors, that doesn't make sense to me. Also will the auto driveshaft fit into the m/t, I have been hearing that it will, and that it wont. Thanks guys

computer is behind the glove box
the second cable you are talking about , my guess would be it's the cruise control cable

The driveshaft will fit but you need the manual trans mount and you need to cut the shifter opening back about an inch to fit the manual tranny.


Good luck, Idid this and all worked well except I hear there is no way to get the cruise control to work. I couldn't on mine anyway.
