Probably about three times more detailed as changing them on any other car I have had, but still very doable for anyone.
Get your hands wet.
If you are scared, unfamiliar, or just need to feel more confident; take pictures of things as you take them apart. I do that a lot on things that I don't know too well.

I am not so sure your friends know what they are talking about!
It is not that there are more cylinders, but the fact that there are things that have to be taken out to give you access to the plugs.

I think anyone should be able to do it. If you have the mental capacity to drive a car, I am sure you can handle it.

From what I have read on the forums, Autolite spark plugs are not only cheap, but work great for our cars.
