New hinges or put washers where the bolts are.

I like to fix things the right way and be done with - I only see replacing the door hinges (if the problem is what I think it is).
I sold my driver's side hinges (left side) to a guy that had that problem.
I can't tell you how well it would work to put spacers/washers in there, but I know that the way these doors open & close (at least mine) is a pretty precise operation.
Just get some new hinges, if it is what I think it is.
Are we talking about the driver's side?

Upper Hinges

Lower Hinges


The hinge pin is usually trashed because of these massive doors. When you change them, take the fender off and leave the door closed. 1 hinge at a time. Much easier.
