Cheap Suggestions for a 1989 Supra N/A 5spd?

Looking for some cheap quick mods to increase HP. The car is currently dead stock. For starters I was thinking of an intake. But wanted some suggestions that will produce decent results.

Im sure most of you on here must have wondered the same thing when you first got your supra ;)

A turbo swap may be in view but thats not for a while ;)

there is not much that you can do to an N/A, trust me i know. to start off you can get a K&N FIPK for about $140, exhaust system-depends, and a header-$220. these are the most common things you can do.

if your looking for cheap, a turbo conversion is not really the way to go

Thanks guys, I was actually hoping of cheaper options. For instance if there was any aftermarket bolt-on type mods that could be found cheap. I mean I see those different types of HP increasing mods on ebay, ones that say cause less gas burn and also increase HP. I know a chip mod would be a bad idea since its basically tricking the car's ECU.

But I guess now I assume the only decent mods come with a decent price tag!

what i would do if i was you (and what i'm doing myself) is to save up money and buy a 7mgte motor. that way you can go all out on it. that's just my opinion

if you want aftermarket bolt-ons that will make your car go zoom zoom and dont feel like throwing down the cash, you may want to look into a civic. im not trying to scare you or anything but these cars arent all that cheap. first they're old, second they're rare, and this means parts are gonna be scarce. for a NA mk3 all you can really do is intake and exhaust. you could go deeper but you dont feel like dishin up the dough. just keep maintaining your supe, make sure its got enough oil, and enjoy.

There are no 'chips' for these cars. Period. If there were, I would have found one by now (3 yrs ownership).
