shift points

what are the optimal shift points for the 7mgte?

It makes 230hp at 5600rpm, after that being all stock it seems to taper off. When I was stock I usually shifted around 5600 and it would stay in the powerband. Running it to redline when stock I think will just slow you down. Just experiment with different levels and use the shift point that feels best.

Depends on what kind of driving you are doing.
For racing, you would want to try to keep your RPM's in the highest part of the powerband.
For normal driving, you would want to keep the RPM's between 2000 & 4000, with 3000 being about ideal for highway use.
