Air Bag Light/Speedometer

Air bag light just went on? Hrmm... is that something that is fuse related or sensor related? How can I remedy this problem?

My speedometer and RPM gauge are not extremely accurate I think. They kinda bounce around sometimes. Is this something that, again, is sensor related? or will buying a new gauge for my car fix the problem.
Example: RPMs jump up like normal with acceleration, but decelleration it bounces up and down in the descent back to 0 RPMs.

Thanks in advance!

If your speedometer is bouncing around, its the speedometer line. Im not really sure how to describe it, but your best bet is to go to SOGI's site and go into their tech tips for mk3's. They have how to fix the speedometer problem and the air bag sensor.

Thats the sogi site, and these links:

Now im not entirely sure why the light comes on. Mine has been on since i bought the car, and i finally fixed it. There are other ways of fixing your speedometer problem too. One way i heard was using the syringe's (sp) out of a ink cartridge kit to fill it back with oil. It was on supraforums if it ever comes back online, you could try searching there.

Hope this helps

Thanks alot. In my Haynes books it says i should deffinetly take it to Toyota or someone to fix it. Says its very complicated (air bag sensors). Thanks for the info on the speedometer though :D

Yep^^^ I guess even I would have to go to the dealer on an airbag problem. I don't think it would be very pleasent to have on go off when it wasn't needed.
