throttle body
 

i just changed out my throttle body and tps (tps went out last year so i bought new throttle body and tps on ebay for $15) needed tps because when plugged in the car would idle up and down constantly between 2000 and 4500 rpms with unplugged constant idle at 3500. anyways i put the the whole new throttle body with new tps and it idled fine at first. than i went to give it gas and nothing happend. i realized than i forgot to reconect the kickback cable to the throttle body with that little metal rod. once i put that back on i realized it was too short by about an inch or so cause when i put it back in place it opened my throttle body about 1/2 way.(not good) how would i fix this? did i mess something up?? Please help plan on driving her in the next few weeks thanks
