After many years of experience, and many cars, my advice is to NOT rev over 6k with that motor. You WILL break something ! Then you're walkiing.
The engine actually loses torque above 5k, so it time to upshift by 6k. Worn (but still functioning) internal parts will start to fail when over revved. After you rebuild the engine, up the power, it can take more beating.
