Default Where can I get a supercharger for my N/A

I have an 89 supra and I'm looking for a supercharger. I already have a turbo but my block doesn't have the oil lines tapped out. I'm not going to try to mess up a good block. Any info? Also have parts for sale. e-mail james.peffer@us.army.mil

You want a supercharger for a Supra? You serious about that?I never even seen such a thing?I mean if im wrong someone let me know. Why would you do that when turbos for our cars (stock and aftermarket) are pretty damn good?Hmmm I dont know jheepman.

Cool why supercharge!

Theres at least 3 reasons why I wanna go with a supercharger.

1. the power is always there. You don't have to wait for a turbo to spool up once you get over a certain RPM.

2. they're easier to tune in and upgrade. all u have to do is change the size of the pulley. a smaller one gives u more boost.

3. like u said RedSupra87everyone's got a turbo. I like to be an individual. Why do u think I got a supra?

I'm guessing the supercharger will run about the same amount as an aftermarket turbo kit or less after you throw in all the extras for a turbo, like a timer, intercooler, ecm, piping and whatever else might be needed. I figure I could make my own brackets and throw a supercharger in where my AC pump is. If I need bigger injectors I already got em in my almost blown 7mgt. I don't think I'd have to do anything with the computer. Correct me if I'm wrong there. There's only one thing that'll change my mind. Does anyone have an idea how to get oil to my turbo? I'm sure I could figure out how to hook up the drainline, although it wouldn't run to the stock place on the block. I'm also not sure if my ecm's interchangable with the one I have. my 89(its realy a late 88 and that has made a diference at the parts stores) 7mg, engine's got a distributor and the spare motor , a 7mgt, has the cam position sensor with electronic ignition (no distribitor). I have computors for both. I was also told that the underdash wiring harnesses were different for my year. Are they interchangable if I wanna turbo my NA? that is the main reason I'm holding back. I hate wiring problems and I got a feeling this project would be a nightmare.

Did you read all the posts in the FAQs section in the 7mge to 7mgte thread?
Conversion to turbo.
Everything I've read over the past few months mentions that you have to change out the wire harness to the 7mgte one.

Also...if you do supercharge yours, let us know, cause I may want to do it to my n/a, also.

It seems to me that you might have good luck getting one for anithe car, like a mustang, then adapting it over with brackets and such.

Default good point

I already know the benefits of a superchager.I feel you with wanting to be an individual.Go for it.Let me know what happens.I never seen it done or an application for Supras but if you can make it work (and you should be able to) let me know how it all turns out.

I want to do this too.... For a few reasons. supercharger is just a straight bolt on deal....for 5-6 psi at least. You dont need an intercooler, oil lines, timers, blow off valves, any of that. I am a big fan of turbos thou. lol. How much hp can you get out of all the stock turbo supra parts? by just upgrading little things...like a boost contoller and the exhaust. I heard you can run them up to 15 psi before the computer will cut the fuel. so how much hp would say...14 psi make?
