Hello,

I answered a very similar question not to long ago!!! Look for adding a wing to an 86 in the arcive. I described everything I had to do to add a three piece spoiler to my 89. Look on ebay for the side you need. How I found some of the random parts I needed was to look on ebay for mk3 parts cars that people were parting out and just email them to see if they had what I was looking for, or check with your local toyota dealership $. The taillights are real easy pull the trim on the inside and unscew the 10mm nuts and everything should pop out it is a very easy conversion. Your spoiler install will require drilling and a good eye.
If you really want to make your 87 look like a 89+ you also need to change your front nose clip. Also your steering wheel will give the year of your car away. And lets not forget about the stock 16 rims that ran from 86-89 those rims really date the car.
Good Luck

Default Easy.

You have to drill two small holes for two screws that the piece comes with. Very easy, I did that just 2 weeks ago and the car now looks MUCH more aggresive and less old. =)
