Steering wheel.

My steering wheel is all worn out, plus it has this horrible thick cover which makes it about the same circumference of a baseball bat's wider end. I hate it. Plus, I think it is a little too big in diameter.

I want a slighter smaller steering wheel, and why not an aftermarket one.. I've been seeing cheap ons in eBay, HKS, Bride and other brands. Will this fit in my car without any trouble?

And another question: I see all those wheels are 320mm, 350mm, etc... WHat size is the '88 MKIII stock steering wheel? Do they measure it from the outer diameter or the inner diameter? I'd measure it myself but I dunno where they take the measurement from. I need to know so I don't end up buying something too small or too big.

Get a chain steering wheel from pep boys.

What?

Chain? What is that? You're probably joking.

Ya, you know, the ones that are like 5 inches in diameter. If you want you can get the Bride wheel, but those aren't real Bride's cuz they don't have a single wheel in their product line.

yes i was joking :) I just bought a momo wheel from a 2.5ttR JDM Tyte yo.

lifesnotfair 12-29-2005 04:00 PM

Hrm...

What's the diameter on that momo? 320mm? I measured my Supra's steering wheel and it's a huge 380mm in outside diameter. I drove my sister's Corolla the other day and felt much better with that tiny stock wheel it comes with, gonna measure that one and see what size it is to get an idea.

I don't mind if it's a replica as long as it looks good and quality is good (at least lasting a few years).

Oh, and..

By the way, what do you guys think of this one?

It looks OK, but I'm not one for faux carbon fiber.
