Ok!
Here's some pics of the new version sills. They might not look too different, but they definitely are. The old versions were exact copies of the stock sills. The new versions are straight cut on the edges, have a wider base plate, and I've molded it so the bottom radius is larger enabling you to run wires from the front or back of the car under the sill if need be. Shopwise, I estimate only 2 more days of drying out before it's good to go again. Can't wait to start working again! Strannik, I probably won't be making CF bonnets if j3pz is correct. I haven't searched around to see if other comapnies are making them, so if there isn't, it's definitely a possiblity. Anyways, enjoy! -=Littlestan=- [ST Composites]

Hey all,
Seems Duane over at CFX has beat me to the punch with CF door sills... http://www.supramania.com/forums/sho...?t=8052&page=6 I now have to think of other things to make that are initially cost effective, yet different than what anyone else is offering. Quote:
in a ton of CF and related equipment/supplies, and need to get things rolling with that first... ^^ Seems even my headlight idea is being worked out by the Lamarossa guy. I'll figure something out soon. -=Littlestan=-

I have an idea for you. CF front speaker covers! The original ones are the weird triangular ones with the cloth over them. I took the cloth off mine, and sanded all the glue off and shined them up with black shoe polish. Now they are black and look pretty sweet, but they would be even better if they were in CF!
just an idea

Hey Yeah! Now thats a good idea Coconut. I'd totally buy front speaker covers and definetly rear tower covers. They are all just snap on snap off, easy mods. How about a snap on set of covers for that rollout screen deal in the back? They always get the crap beat out of them by the sun. I'd definetly buy a cabon cover for that too, like one long one to cover the horizontal part and two small ones at the shoulders.
to summarize Front speaker covers Rear speaker/tower covers. Pullout screen (I know it has a special name but don't know it). Edit: ^ It's the Tonneau Cover! Last edited by Burn N' Up; 02-05-2006 at 11:40 PM. |
