i read an article on how to shortin ure shifter,but lost it.Can anyone help me out

thats a thread from a few weeks back, i just did it the other day, that rubber piece was a bitch and on top of that the shift nob i bought wouldnt go on right and when i drive it rattles. oh well at least it looks good
