Default hatch

My hatch has the infamous squeak when I go over bumps and all. I know you can fix it by spraying some silicon somewhere. But my question is, where EXACTLY is the part that squeaks. I have spent time looking but I don't really know where its coming from. And lately it has been more frequent. Anyone know the exact area where the noise comes from?

I say the rubber stoppers, (looks like triangles on both sides of the hatch) glued mine back together till i get my replacements and my hatch dosent squeak like it did before

Thumbs up

And the 1/2" round ones along the back, on each side of the latch, out towards the ends. I used to spray silicone, but now I dab a tiny smear of clear silicone grease. Its like vaseline, but not as 'wet'.
Also if you look closely, you'll see some 'rub' spots up along the top, where the wiring harness and washer hose rub the channel in the body. Put some there too.
Make sure your latch is adjusted so the hatch is tight when closed.
