JDM 7M-GTE, good deal?
 

Hey, I'm planning on replacing the existing high mileage 7M in my 87 Turbo and have been looking around at some different sites to get an idea of cost and different warrantys and things of the like. I came across this site that takes a JDM 7M-GTE and then put in a 1.2mm HKS metal head gasket and replaces a bunch of thing's such as water pump, timing belt ect ect. what is the warranty for, 2000 sounds like a good deal...just so you know were i live there is a shop that quoted me on a 3sgte alltrac motor ......get ready, ported, polished, balanced, metal head gasket, arp head bolts, cam upgrade to give a longer stroke, for 2500...with a 50,000 mile warranty, or five years, my words exactly, I want to make 350 whp and still be on the warranty..thats what they can do while still being on the warranty, its a local shop were i live get back to me and i'll see if i can dig up the phone number

Ya I'm way up here in Vancouver, BC, Canada. So a little far away, I wish i could find a shop around here to do some work like that!! Any one from Vancouver on here know of any shops like that?
