ct26 57 trim

i got a ct26 upgraded and to me i dont know if its normal but i spin the impeller and a little tight. it doesnt spin freely. is that normal cause its new or is it bad?

don t spin anymore till u get it primed with oil

think about it this way it s not spinning with it s oil lines on so metal on metal don t spin it anymore till u prime it with oil. i just bought a new turbo and the instructions say to install it and then pull coil so no spark prime the inlet of turbo connect lines then turn over engine like u were trying to start it four or five times then pull the outlet line and see if oil is in line if so then reconnect and reconnect coil and start motor let idle for at least 20 min for breakin then u can take the car out for a spin but be very very carefull for at least 500 k before relly stomping on it alright i hope i could help u with your question

is the turbine hard to spin? or does it just feel a little tight? if u don't have to crank on it to make it spin then it should be fine...

i took it off the motor causr i bout the car with a broken rod and its hard spinning it with my hand. i think the remanings of the bearings got through nthe oil lines and scrued it up. if thats the case i debading on either fetting a t66 or an other upgraded ct 26 what do you guys think whats the best for street and strip. thanks guys hope to here from u shortly.

well... u can always go with an upgraded ct26... t66 if ur planning on going hardcore HP... but if u want a T turbo I'd say go with a t3/t4 for now... it's quite a bit of nice power and they are good turbos

do t3/t4 come internally gated. can i bolt it right up or do i got to modify?

the t3/t4 is a twin entry... it bolts right up to the 2nd gen 3sgte motor... but apparently the 7mgte has a single entry ct26? if I'm right with that then u will need a different exhaust manifold. If ur ct26 is twin entry then ur fine
