Clutch problems

1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys, I am wondering if someone has come across a problem with the clutch. A couple of months ago, I replaced the Clutch Master Cylinder because it was leaking fluid inside the car and corroding my carpet and shoes. Every day I'd have to add clutch fluid. After the replacement we bled the system. But, now if I step on the gas, in any gear, the clutch overrides. The car feels like an automatic trans slipping and it develops this sweet, yet nasty smell inside the cabin. You won't notice it if you drive the car like an old lady driving a Buick but, if I start revving it like a Turbo Supra, the problem starts. I had my first Supra in 1986.5, 5 spd, non-turbo, and I was able to find this gem with only 130k on the clock 5 spd, Turbo. Thanks in advance.

Make sure that the clutch pedal free play is not over adjusted. That pin that fits in the back of master cylinder should wiggle just a little and not be tight up against it. There's a lock nut and you also need to hold the other slot With the 2nd wrench to Loosen and tighten it. The procedure is detailed in a good repair manual either Toyota or Haynes. If there any air in the system it will expand with heat and cause the clutch to act automatically and make it slip.
