PCV Elbow

I've got cracks on the rubber / silicone (whichever) boots on the PCV elbow coming up off of the valve covers. Is there any way to fabricate a new one? I heard tell of the Toyota replacement costing in the $100s. The reason I'm looking to replace it is there's a fair amount of oil on the valve covers where it connects.

I replaced mine with some (3) pieces of hydraulic hose. It is oil and heat resistant, and will last longer than the ozone layer.

doesent the ozone layer already have a hole it it??? :D

Hydraulic hose... is that similar to fuel / emissions hose? I know that the fuel / emissions stuff is tempered to pressure, but I'm not sure about the heat.

No, its sturdier than fuel/emission hose. You can use either of those as the heat is not enough to bother them. Just getting the correct inside diameter hose is not so easy.

I eyeballed the hose and guessed it to be approx. 1/2" in diameter... going to attempt to throw it on there today and see what happens.
