Default Damn power windows

Replaced both window switches, cleaned contacts and passenger motor works if hot wired directly. But passenger window will only go down with switch and the only way to hot wire it is beyond the last connector right off the motor. any further down the line and i can't get enough power to make it go up. do i just need to eliminate the two wire connector between the motor and switch or do you ave any other ideas?
