ok. when you installed the new cylinder did you bench bleed it, and after adjusting the pedal have some one pump the clutch and you bleed the clutch from the slave. if not maby over time the little air that was trapped plus more air getting into the lines made it over flow( or could be a cloged line) the only reson i could see it leaking into the carpet again is maby you damadged the cylinder durring install, or the pedal wasent 100% dead on and maby you wore out the seals prematurley
