Brake lights wont turn off!!

So this randomly just happened today... I park my car and the brake lights are still on. I checked to make sure the switch was turned off for all the lights and it was. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem?? or what I should check for?

I'm most likely just gonna disconnect the battery and put it back on to see if its doing the same thing.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!

Test the switch under the dash and make sure the rubber bumper which the plunger contacts is still in place.

http://www.turboninjas.com/mk3supra/...ndiv/22_BE.pdf page BE-17. "Stop lights stay on" has a singular trouble shoot of "adjust or replace switch". Also.. if you park it on a FLAT surface, put it in park (or in gear if it's a manual) while turned off, and with the parking break down, is the light still on?

Rubber bumper? is that suppose to be on the brake pedal? or the pin that gets pressed in by the brake pedal?

I can't even remember for sure if there was one in that location, check the EPC. There was one for the brake or one of the two clutch switches which had a bumped on the strike pad. If the bumper broke off it left a hole so the plunger be depressed.... It would just go through the hole. It's not unique to the Supra.

I had a similar thing happen 2 years ago. Found the remnants of the rubber bumper when I dropped the under-dash panel. I wound up JB-Welding a penny to the brake light switch tab to cover the hole. Cost me probably $0.03 for a fix. Just remember that JB-Weld likes a rough sanded surface to bond to.

Plenty of hardware stores sell rubber bumpers with the push through mounting nipple.... just like what was already in there. They cost maybe $.50 Now if you already have JB Weld $.01 is definitely the cheaper option. :D
