Possibly bad W58
 

I have an '88 with the W58, and I think it's going bad. I bought the car not running (really cheap) and got it running. The motor runs great, but the trans not so much. In 3rd and 5th with throttle I get a metal on metal grinding sound, really bad in 5th, and it goes away when I let off the throttle. In 4th I get the noise with no throttle (not as bad, but still there) and it goes away when throttle is applied. Go figure. Probably shot, right?


Soooo.... Who near the western KY area has a good W58 for sale? :)
