Ignition

For the longest time i thought it was a grounded wire or my battery dying. But i found out its the ignition cuz i got annoyed one day and kept turning the key and then my car turned over. So im thinking its just a loose connection somewhere but im not good with ignition stuff. Anyone know? Sorry for all the posts but my car is very problematic.

i assume you are getting a "click click click" when trying to start the car?

if so... i had the same thing.. couldn't be bothered fixing it so i found another remedy hehe

connect a wire to the terminal going to the starter motor... when click click click happens... make sure in neutral, turn key to ign... touch wire to pos terminal of battery... and car starts ;)

if you are auto.. the neutral start switch is on it's way out

It also could be your starter. If you can jump the solenoid wire to the main post on the starter where the battery cable hooks up and it still clicks then it is the starter. A proper remote starter button should work fine. If that isn't it then go with what suppra_girl suggested.

I just replaced the starter. And everytime i turned the key i hear a click once. But when it does start it doesnt sound like the starter is struggling. It only does this about once or twice a day.

o yea and its a 5 sp so i dont have a neutral switch.

Well then go with the expert and try what Suppra_girl suggested. Sounds like you did the obvious stuff. Make sure of your grounds, they are every where, make sure that battery is not being drained while just sitting there. If you don't want to go the route of the ignition switch, the go the remote starter button, that will eliminate all the wiring that might be bad, but I would at least try a new switch,
