anybody know how much a 1988 supra n/a automatic cost brandnew back in 1988? or mk3 in general what was there price ranges new?
|
i have a 91 N/A automatic and i think (not 100% sure though) that it cost somewhere around 28,000:dunno: i have the actual price somewhere i just can't find it
|
This is only from memory, but in June 1986 we were lookng for a Camry when I first lusted after a Supra. The price was just over 20k. I don't have a clue how it was outfitted. Way out of my price range. Had to wait 13 years to get my 88 Supra. It was worth the wait.

My 1989 n/a, automatic, sport pkg (abs, lsd, tems, etc) cloth seats, was $23,500. I went to library and found it in Road & Track magazine.
Also, I was a Toyota salesman in Sept, 1998. The black, fully "equipped" (every option) twin turbo automatic was $43,500. Toyota priced themselves out of the market. I won't say the car wasn't worth every penny, but people could buy the "badge" of a BMW, or Mercedes for $43k. Even a Porche. I read somewhere that less than a 1000 supras were sold in 1998. |
23,500 does sound more accurate than my 28,000. i'll have to find that piece of paper that says the actual price

I stopped by a used car lot the other day, cause they had a nice looking '91 turbo sitting there. The original window sticker was in the glove box. It was $29k+ US. It had leather, targa top, sport pkg.
|
My 88 turbo stickered at 28k my old 92 had a sticker of 34k
|
boostedmkIII.....what options did ur 92 have?
i have a 91 but cant find the papers that tell me how much it was |
My 87 NA (automatic) came with its original sticker:
Power driver's seat: $210 Sport package upgrade (TEMS, limited slip, headlamp washers): $700 Carpeted floor mats: $72 Shipping: $225 Total: $22,387 I thought all supras came with TEMS. I wonder if the headlamp washers were always packaged with the limited slip. This could be a way to tell if a car has limited slip. |
supra 91....... My 92 was a turbo, targa, tan leather,ac,tc,cd, 5-speed tems power everything, pretty much everthing. and ever since Ive sold the car ive never seen a stock turbo car that was that nice But I sold it because 10k was alot to refuse at the time,my other hard tops were a lot lighter than my 92 also !
