A/C Blower Not Working...Can't find fuse
 

Hi,

I've got a 1989 Supra. The fan (A/C system) just stopped blowing today. I've been trying to find the passenger side fuse box which has the A/C fuses, but all I see is engine control computer. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Passenger side kick panel has the CC fuses, circuit breakers and relays you'll want to check.

Thanks, but I'm already aware that's where the fuses are (per my original email). I just can't find them in the kick box. I removed the glove compartment and panel below but found no fuses, only computers and the ETC. Where specifically are the fuses?

Secondly, there's been a development. This morning I turned on the car and the blower was working. At lunch it wasn't. The fact that it isn't consistent leads me to believe it is not a fuse and definitely not a breaker.

As for the intermittent blower, does it consistently work on any of the three speeds? I'd imagine that there has to be a blower motor resistor somewhere to control the variable speeds. Possibility that may have gone bad.

There's a junction box with fuses and CBs in the passenger kick panel... can't recall if there's anything obscuring it or if you're just looking in the wrong place. The "kick panel" is not the glove box or the cover below it, it's the panel which covers the door side of the foot well area (where the door wire harness enters the body).

I agree with BTWilson though, if its operating intermittently or only at certain speeds it is more likely the blower resistor assembly (mounted to the bottom of the blower duct behind the glove box with three wires running to it).
