Cranks but wont start, help Please!
 

my 87 turbo is having a problem! It has been having this problem off and on. What it is doing, is it will crank and crank, but will not fire and run. I still haven't figured out what it is. It just did it again and this time i did a little testing.

It has power at the fuel pump

I loosened the banjo bolt on the fuel rail and it had lots of gas squirt out when i had someone turn it over. I dont have the adapter to test exact pressure.

I pulled #1 spark plug and tested for spark. The first coupleces i tried to spark it at, either didnt have good ground, or it wasnt sparking. I put the spark plug on a powersteering mount bolt, and it didnt spark at first, and i either got the gap right for it to spark, or it finally sparked, but right after i saw spark, it started.

I have no idea of what it could be. A couple other times it has done this, i have disconnected the battery and let is sit for just a bit and then reconnected it and it started it. This time it didnt work.

My thoughts are, possible the ecu, or a sensor, possible cam sensor or crank.

Please give me your input, this is my daily driver!

3in exhaust, afermarket fmic and piping, and maft pro

New tps, and o2 sensor, water pump, radiator.

Seems alot of people are having this problem lately.
Check codes, check ecu grounds, check coil ground, check cps wiring.

I had the same problem on my na it would start run then die I could not for the life of me figure it out some one suggested to check my timing belt I did and found that was the problem it jumped time and ran like shit
